Keys, Versioning and Credentials

Every object within every bucket has a unique identifier called Object Key. Merlin Storage is a basic data map between the combination of a bucket, an object key, a version ID, and the object described.

Versioning will help you to preserve, retrieve, and restore every version of every object stored in your buckets. It will prevent unintended user actions and application failures to affect your data by giving you the opportunity of recovering to any version.

You can manage access credentials to your storage account. API keys are used to manage the storage account through API. You can generate a limited number of API keys. The secret key is only once shown in the creation. You should copy and store it in a safe place since we do not store the secret key of the credentials. If you forget or lose the secret key of an API key, it becomes useless and there is no way to get it back. The only option in such cases is to generate a new one.
