Create a Group

Groups are essential for organizing content and are integral to channel and schedule creation. Once created, groups can be added to the relevant channels and schedules, ensuring a structured and organized content flow.

  1. Access the Groups Menu: Navigate to the "Groups" menu and click "Create" to begin the process.ERSTREAM_FAST_TV_USER_DOC.pdf-image-004.png
  2. Name the Group: Assign a meaningful name to the group to easily identify it later.
  3. Select Content for the Group: Choose the content you wish to include in the group. After selecting, you can drag and drop the content to arrange the playback order. The content within the group will be played according to this order. Note that you can update and rearrange the group contents afterwards but not after it is being used in an active schedule.
  4. Assign a Video Template: Each group must consist of only one video template. This template determines the encoding and packaging options for the content. For seamless streaming, ensure that the group, channel, and schedules all use the same video template. Therefore, it’s crucial to select the appropriate video template before adding content to the group.
  5. Use Filtering Options: To manage large volumes of content more efficiently, utilize the filtering options. These allow you to select content based on specific criteria, speeding up the group creation process and ensuring that the right content is included. By following these steps, you can efficiently organize your content into groups, ensuring smooth and reliable channel creation and scheduling.ERSTREAM_FAST_TV_USER_DOC.pdf-image-005.pngBy following these steps, you can efficiently organize your content into groups, ensuring smooth and reliable channel creation and scheduling.
