Values you can configure when editing or adding an Origin are provided below along with explanations and default settings. You can use them to set up your servers on MerlinCDN Panel. For the values that you can select from multiple options, please see relevant sections to find out more about the options.

Name |
This value is used for presentation purposes on MerlinCDN management. Enter a unique name for your origin to distinguish. |

Path |
If you want MerlinCDN to request your files from a directory in your origin server, enter the directory name beginning with a “/” |

Host Header |
Enter the host header of your origin. MerlinCDN adds this header and the value specified here to origin requests. |

Load Balancer |
If there are multiple origin servers set for distribution, select the type of load balancer you want MerlinCDN to use with your origins. |
Least Connection |
Protocol |
Select the protocol you want MerlinCDN to use to connect to your origin. |
Match |
HTTP Port |
The HTTP port that the origin listens on. |

HTTPS Port |
The HTTPS port that the origin listens on. |
|
Connection Timeout |
The amount of time, in seconds, that MerlinCDN waits before closing the connection. |

Custom Headers |
You can specify custom header keys and values to be included in every request to the origin. If a header is already present in the client request, it is overridden by the value specified here. |

Servers |
Define the server(s) you will use as Origins for your distribution by entering domain name of IP address of the server. Maximum server limit is 10. |
Active |
Load Balancer: If there are multiple origin servers set for distribution, you can configure MerlinCDN to use a certain load balancing type when routing requests to your origin servers. Detailed information for Load Balancing is available under the Load Balancing Article.
Protocol: You can configure the protocol you want MerlinCDN to use when accessing your origin server(s).
Servers: You can multiple servers as origin to your distributions.
Origin: Origin server is the main server that contains the original versions of the content, here on this article, used as Origin.
