Cache Prefetching

Cache prefetching is a technique used by computer processors to boost execution performance by fetching instructions or data from their original storage in slower memory to a faster local memory before it is actually neededPrefetching allows new HTTP pull content to be pre-populated at MerlinCDN distribution Zones.  

To manage cache prefetching; follow the steps outlined below:

Log in to MerlinCDN Management panel.

In the left navigation sidebar click Distributions. Select your distribution you want to manage cache prefetching.

  1. Click on Cache Prefetching tab.
  2. Click on Create Cache Prefetching.

You can configure MerlinCDN to prefetch a file by specifying headers and path.
